THE  DU MAURIERS
A stage play based on the fascinating lives of Gerald and Daphne du Maurier   - with music from the 1900s to the 1950s.

2007 will be the centenary of the birth of the writer, Daphne du Maurier, who was also the daughter of the actor-manager Sir Gerald du Maurier.

Daphne du Maurier's novels, such as 'Rebecca', continue to be best-sellers.
She was the child of a famous literary and theatrical family, and a woman who had affairs with the film director Carol Reed and the actress Gertrude Lawrence.
She was also the wife of wartime commander, Tommy 'Boy' Browning',
famous for warning that Arnhem was  'A Bridge Too Far'.
Set initially against the background of the theatre world at the beginning of the 20th century, the play tells the story of Gerald du Maurier, his family, his relationship with his rebellious daughter, Daphne, and also the story of her life as a wife, mother and writer.
